Bryn-y-Gwynt on Bryngwynt Lane is one of the oldest dwellings in Penrhynside, first appearing in records as a habitation in 1826. The Robert Jones family (Robert was a Miner in 1841, probably working in the Great Orme Copper Mines) had moved into the building by 1840. They shared the building with Hugh Hughes and Richard Hughes (Mr Dibble thinks Richard may have been the brother of Hugh), Richard's wife Mary, and daughter Mary.
